Position Summary:

The Service Operations 1 is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and clerical duties involved in shipping and receiving of all incoming and outgoing packages.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):

  • Designates method of shipment of all outgoing packages, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.  
  • Packs parts and products to the standards set by the Service Operations Lead, to ensure that the product is not damaged in transit.
  • Ensures that all necessary documentation is included with each package before it leaves the facility.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments. Inspects and documents the condition of the product and lists any accompanying items that may be critical for reinstallation.
  • Routes non-service deliveries to appropriate departments.  
  • Adheres to policies regarding reuse and recycling of incoming packing materials to reduce waste as much as possible.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Advise Service Operations Lead when supplies are needed for the department.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations within the department.

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to use tools properly without damaging products.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of common keyboard shortcuts.
  • Able to understand and execute detailed instructions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Warehouse environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
