Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are seeking to add a Test Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer position involves the responsibility for implementing and maintaining cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods for systems, software, and/or equipment.
A typical day looks like:
- Directs and/or coordinates technical and/or electronic engineering staff in the manufacturing and design of test and control devices and equipment, or software and systems testing.
- Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (Python).
- Develops instrument drivers/develops and/or supports diagnostic testing at the board edge level.
- Designs and supports hardware for functional testing, computing platforms, and interfaces.
- Develops testing plans and procedures.
- Coordinates third-party development of functional tests, enhancements, and testing devices.
- Prepares budgets for functional test hardware and software.
- Analyzes and interprets diagnostic failures at the software or system level (software and hardware).
- Develops and/or modifies testing plans and procedures at the software or system level.
- Develops and/or supports comprehensive quality testing programs.
- Prepares budgets for the development and improvement of testing.
- Conducts test capability analysis (DFT).
- Determines the best method to achieve maximum test coverage through different testing processes.
- Understands the master testing plan and the project plan.
- Reports defects (usually in a defect database) and communicates testing results.
- Documents testing strategies and metrics for process optimization.
- Communicates directly with the client, ensuring clarity in requirements and conducting effective negotiations to support project success and customer satisfaction.
The experience we are looking for to join our team:
- Completed degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience as a Test Engineer in the electronic manufacturing industry.
- Advanced English (oral and written).
- Knowledge of Python, Linux, and API platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in personnel management.
- Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, Perl, etc.).
- Experience in Functional Testing at the Card Level and In-Circuit Testing.
