We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team helping to bring our efficient coolant distribution units to market and ensure that our products lead in reliability. The successful candidate will influence design choices, design and maintain reliability evaluation tools to maximize product reliability, and lead DFMEA and PFMEA efforts supporting our coolant distribution units. The Senior Reliability Engineer will lead the identification of reliability related test needs, planning, and evaluation. The Senior Reliability Engineer will work to actively support the reliability mindset across the CDU product team. Our products drive sustainability across the data center infrastructure by allowing higher coolant temperatures and by driving more complete heat capture for liquid cooling. What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead the development of new and the maintenance of existing coolant distribution unit reliability models.
  • Lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities for JetCool coolant distribution units.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations staff to ensure all test data is aggregated and field data is tracked for additional DFMEA or PFMEA insights.
  • Work with engineering and operations to establish reliability test plans to support the introduction of new products or product updates.
  • Assist in maintaining a strong best practice culture and driving additional foundational knowledge and IP.
  • Leading failure root cause investigations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Participate in design reviews, presenting technical findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the resolution of technical challenges and issues related to coolant distribution units throughout the product lifecycle.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-collegiate experience, preferably working in hardware product reliability in the data center cooling, automotive, medical, or nuclear industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to help facilitate more complete FMEAs and distill key reliability findings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's of Science degree.
  • Startup experience
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in NPI process participation and/or leadership.
  • Familiarity with data center cooling infrastructure (cooling modules, CDUs, dry coolers, chillers).
  • Experience setting up and analyzing reliability testing that quantifies acceleration factors.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry and regulatory standards related to fluid systems and mechanical engineering.
  • Previous involvement in the development of fluid systems for data center cooling, automotive, medical, or nuclear applications.
  • Publications, patents, or contributions to industry-related conferences or forums.
