Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Director, Quality the Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and continuous improvements within the organization. This role involves leading quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and implement standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Design sampling procedures and create forms and instructions for recording and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establish methods for handling discrepant material and assess associated costs.
  • Supervise personnel engaged in measuring and testing products and compiling quality data.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct sessions on quality control activities.
  • Support Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers in customer interactions regarding quality issues.
  • Ensure data integrity and availability for all quality-related information; consolidate and report results.
  • Initiate and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality audits.
  • Define and maintain quality standards for processing materials into finished products.
  • Design and implement inspection and testing methods for product and equipment accuracy.
  • Analyze reports and returned products, recommending corrective actions.
  • Approve product, process, and equipment qualifications.
  • Act as liaison with regulatory bodies.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in high-tech electronics, automotive or related industry.
  • Familiarity with electronic assembly, PCB operations, testing tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer), and inspection tools.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Leadership experience managing teams.
  • Knowledge of SMT process (90%) and assembly (10%).
  • Proficiency in Core Tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, APQP).
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, IATF (preferred).
  • SQE systems knowledge is a plus.
  • Availability for travel (approx. 5% annually).
