Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, South Campus.

Reporting to the Quality Manager Engineer, the role of Senior Quality Engineer involves maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Approves product, process, and equipment qualifications.

• Develops and initiates inspection, testing, and evaluation standards and methods.

• Develops sampling procedures, designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and communicating quality and reliability data.

•    Develop and apply methods and procedures for the disposal of non-conforming material and devise methods for evaluating cost and responsibility.

•    Direct workers responsible for measuring and testing the product and tabulating data relating to materials, quality, and reliability of the product or process.

•    Collects and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.

•    Ensures the availability and integrity of all quality-related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.

•    Responsible for the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of quality standards for the transformation of materials into semi-finished products.

•    Designs and applies methods and procedures to inspect, test, and evaluate the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.

•    Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective measures.

•    Internal communication with different work areas.

•    Direct communication with the customer.

The experience we are looking for to join our team:

•    Engineering or equivalent work experience.

•    Experience in the automotive industry.

•    Knowledge of IATF 16949.

•    Experience with KPIs (Quality).

•    Knowledge of quality tools (8Ds, 5 Whys, Pareto Diagram, etc.)

•    Experience with engineering changes.

•    Experience with NPI.

•    Knowledge of core tools (APQP, FMEA, CP, MSA, and PPAP).

•    Knowledge of basic statistics.

•    Proficiency with Minitab (DOE and SPC).

•    Statistical process control (CP and CPK).

•    Intermediate-advanced English.

•    Customer service skills.

•    Experience in managing customer portals.
