Job Summary Mirror Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators. Currently MCi is expanding its product portfolio to other Automotive actuation solutions such as Active Aerodynamics & Motor cooling management.

Reporting to the Moulding Production Manager, the primary function of the Moulding Process Engineer is to assume responsibility for the control and management of all process driven systems within the Injection Moulding department and direct daily activities in accordance with Company policies.

What a typical day looks like:

  • You will be in charge of new tool debug, set up and validation;                            
  • Process optimization using DOE and Statistical Methodology;
  • Responsible for control of overall quality, process capability, and associated documentation;
  • Troubleshooting of process, equipment and systems problems using sound engineering principles and data driven decisions;
  • Provide training and support to Production Technicians;           
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation;
  • All work duties should be carried out in compliance with site health & safety regulations. The promotion and maintenance of safety standards should be adhered to at all time.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Degree level qualification in Polymer Science or another relevant Engineering; discipline and/or proven equivalent experience       
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role;
  • Sound analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
  • Proficient in using a variety of moulding machine types and associated ancillary equipment.
