Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Material Quotation Analyst located in Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, Material Quotation Analyst role involves being responsible to manage and coordinate all the areas involved, the activities to follow are provision of fierce requests for quotation (RFQ's), technical capability, supplier development, supplier readiness and improvement activities in order to support the Supply Chain management team to identify more sources and the lowest suitable quote for make or purchase by presenting the business case ensuring delivery, response, service & quality requirements for Flex & customers' expectations, assist in the strengthening of existing customer relationships.
What a typical day looks like:
- Responsible to manage, present Business case and coordinate all the areas involved, requests for quotations received from SSCM and SCA in order to identify the lowest suitable quote for make or purchase products according to the specified requirements for each customer in relation to quotes.
- Help with the investigation of design, product or service requirements in terms of cost, manufacturability, quality and lead-time. Reliability and quality improvement, and manage commodities in identifying opportunities to source with Flex preferred suppliers.
- Work with PE/GBS to provide alternate sourcing recommendations, such as identifying relevant specification differences and board design changes required, and providing the interface with the supplier's design for Industrial & lifestyle segments.
- Negotiate prices and ensure lowest costs possible through proposal for redesign or process/service substitution to drive costs down.
- Work with (Global) commodity team on cost models and assist with strategy implementation
- Liaise with the customer base in co-operation in order to achieve cost effectiveness
- Present results of trend information to help optimum quote packages.
- Oversee the input of Bill of Materials Data into the Quotes Management Software Tool.
- Collaborate with component suppliers, development engineers, and manufacturing.
- Maintain component data management system including qualification records / results / documentation.
- Work with development community and manufacturing teams to ensure that components are compatible with lead-free manufacturing processes.
- Ensure development of industry environmental compliance requirements (ROHS/WEEE) at the up-stream supply chain management to ensure full compliance to Flex/Customer implementation requirement such as supply chain compliance with global legislative requirements pertaining to elimination and reduction of hazardous substances in electronics products
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- Experience in managing quotations from SSCM and SCA.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing within Procurement Excellence (PE) and Global Business Services (GBS).
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record.
- Knowledge of industry environmental compliance (ROHS/WEEE) in upstream supply chain management.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a similar supply chain role.
- Intermediate-Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
