Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Manufacturing Process Engineer located in Dallas TX.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will oversee, identify, recommend, and deploy manufacturing and process flow activities and solutions to identify and improve production inefficiencies, capabilities, capacity, and scalability opportunities related to people, materials, equipment, and methods.
 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Designs, creates, develops, provides, coordinates, and drives Facility & Production Layouts & Process flow (VSM), Time Standards & Motion Time Studies, Process Capacity & Resource Planning, and Efficiency Improvements.

  • Manage Lean / Six Sigma deployment projects and equipment optimization and automation while reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure the facility is properly meeting these guidelines.

  • Creates, develops, provides, or coordinates training, materials, and other educational tools.

  • Conduct research to develop new processes or improve existing processes for manufacturing and manufacturability.

  • Establish safety procedures for new or updated manufacturing procedures and ensure they align with quality requirements.

  • Develop methods for mans aging standard work and sustainable processes.

  • Design and plan equipment layout for manufacturing operations.

  • Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization; makes recommendations for improvements.

  • Conduct test and monitor the process performance throughout production.

  • Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes.

  • Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

  • Estimate production costs, efficiencies, capacity, and resource planning.

  • Determine the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.

  • Collects and analyzes key performance indicator (KPI) data; makes recommendations off findings.

  • Reviews current production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.

  • Identify and assist with implementation of cost saving and safety initiatives.

  • Oversees the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.

  • Prepares operations manuals for new or existing manufacturing processes; prepares and coordinates training as needed.

  • Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics and/or related engineering field required.

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a related capacity.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques including lean manufacturing.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software tools.
