Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Legal Counsel located in Zhuhai / Shenzhen (onsite at Zhuhai for 2-3 days a week).

What a typical day looks like:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts for Greater China sites, and manage external counsels for outsourced procurement contracts.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts, support customer claims, and perform comprehensive contract assessments to identify potential risks and provide detailed analyses that balance business needs with associated exposure to risk.
  • Design and deliver training sessions to commercial and operations teams on contract lifecycle management.
  • Provide guidance and support on operational matters related to various legal issues for assigned sites in China, including labor and employment and disputes. Offer practical, business-oriented legal solutions that align with business needs while ensuring compliance and effective risk management.
  • Identify ways and tools to enhance internal processes to drive meaningful changes to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct legal research and monitor legal developments within the relevant jurisdictions.
  • Other ad-hoc assignments.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree or above and professional qualification in law.
  • 5+ years' post-qualification experience as a counsel in multi-national companies or an associate in reputable law firms.
  • Have proven experience and ability in corporate and commercial matters, excellent drafting skills, demonstrate high level general advisory capability and have a solid grasp of the general legal landscape.
  • Commercially astute and solution oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Critical thinking, detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage diverse teams effectively.
  • Ability to use and adopt AI tools.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
