Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Failure Analysis Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Site.

The Failure Analysis Engineer role involves Responsible for Implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in design of methos of failure analysis, testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
  • Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data.
  • Directs and coordinate the strategies of debug the fail product of the test process.
  • Determines conditions and procedures under which The technicians are to be conducted and Indicators and phases of Debug Process.
  • Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing and troubleshooting problems such as failures of product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, Failure Analysis Reports, new solutions, obsolete components data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Analyzes and interprets Failures data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
  • Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Trains and instructs floor support, debug technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, failures solutions as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Electronics, mechatronics or related.
  • Experience as a Failure Analysis Engineer in the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Fluent English
  • Identifying the cause of failure
  • Testing and diagnosing products
  • Interviewing users
  • Writing and sharing reports
  • Avoiding the repetition of similar incidents
  • Storing files about failure analysis
  • Making recommendations
  • Analyzing failure reports and determining the root cause of the issue
  • Advanced Excel
  • Staff Administration
  • Schedule availability
  • Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages (i.e. Python, Lab View, Perl etc.).
  • Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Organized
