Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director - Sourcing located in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.

The Director Sourcing oversees the activities related to design & implement Sourcing strategies to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, and regulatory compliance.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategy for commodities that support the goals of the business including supplier consolidation, deep market knowledge, cost reductions.
• Implement savings metrics, oversee the development of sourcing strategies, industry, emerging market and supplier research, sourcing methodologies, and supplier selection.
• Maintain a high level of interaction and interpersonal skills to interface with senior management as well as key suppliers.
• Manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation, and regulatory compliance within Global or International category of spend, resulting in breakthrough strategies which optimize value and ensure appropriate risk management.
• Manage vendor selection and qualify vendors via capability, risk, and capacity assessment.
• Achieve cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and add value to areas of expenditure through a strong total cost orientation.
• Uses thorough market knowledge and data evaluation to gain critical insights that drive the selection of Sourcing Strategies and continuous improvement activities.
•  Responsible for building relationships with suppliers and managing supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• 18+ years of experience in Manufacturing companies, Preferred from Electronics Industry.
• Commodities: Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical.
• Proven ability to communicate with and influence internal teams & Flex customers.
• Strategic planning, analytical acumen, project management skills required
• Optimal utilization of human resource, and shift planning
