Job Description

The Director, Business Development will be based in Seattle, WA. This individual will be responsible for growing Flex EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) and joint design engineering sales for leading Cloud Service Providers (CSP) data center infrastructure.

As  Director of Business Development We are looking for someone who also demonstrates:

  • Hyperscale cloud data center infrastructure domain expertise
  • A proven ability to solve customer challengers and create value
  • Relentless drive to win and exceed sales targets

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Develop long term, strategic alliances with customers with top tier CSPs and deepen customer relationships across data center engineering and global procurement and supply chain.
  • Analyze customers' data center and edge infrastructure strategies, top design challenges, technology roadmaps and build out plans to match Flex subject matter experts and solutions to customer decision makers
  • Align with customer on key technology, innovation and supply chain initiatives and create unique value propositions with Flex design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Align customer opportunities to Flex' business strategy and technology capabilities to meet and exceed sales pipeline and bookings targets.
  • Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex's solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics.
  • Support senior management with regard to managing and evaluating key personnel and in terms of talent acquisition to provide further potential to business resources.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development related to Data Center infrastructure sales
  • Experience selling into hyperscale CSP accounts
  • Experience working with Supply Chain and the EMS industry
  • Depth of understanding CSP data center technologies and infrastructure
  • Ability to travel as required.
