To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director of Materials, Supply Chain and Logistics located in Milpitas, California.


Report to General Manager, the Director of Materials, Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for leading and executing end-to-end materials management, supply chain, procurement, planning, warehouse, logistics, and production control strategies supporting manufacturing operations across the United States and Mexico. This role ensures material availability, supply chain resilience, inventory optimization, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while supporting business growth and profitability.
The Director leads a geographically dispersed organization responsible for procurement, strategic sourcing, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, production planning, document control, and New Product Introduction (NPI) support. This position closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and customers to drive supply chain performance, cost optimization, and successful product lifecycle execution.


What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Lead materials, supply chain, procurement, planning, logistics, and warehouse operations to support business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Drive material availability, inventory optimization, working capital improvements, and supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage strategic sourcing, supplier development, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives across U.S. and Mexico operations.
  • Oversee production planning, demand management, capacity planning, and S&OP processes to align customer demand with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, trade compliance, and freight optimization.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, validation, and product lifecycle management activities to ensure supply chain readiness.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to support quoting activities, supply chain strategy development, and business growth initiatives.
  • Build and develop a high-performing organization focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.


The Experience We're Looking to Add to Our Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, certifications highly desirable.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing Operations.
  • 8+ years of experience leading managers and multi-functional organizations in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading global supply chain operations supporting high-tech manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, industrial, medical, or aerospace industries.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management, material planning, inventory optimization, MRP/ERP systems, and manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, logistics, import/export compliance, and global trade operations.
  • Proven success leading New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, validation, commercialization, and product lifecycle support activities.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to drive cost reduction, business growth, and operational excellence initiatives.
