Reporting to the Director Operations Engineering the Automation (Controls) Engineer role involves maintaining and improving automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications.
What a typical day looks like:
- Maintain existing and new moderately-complex automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
- Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
- Understand the machine operating principle, Consequence of wear and tear parts and product defects
- Ensure the uptime of machines through design of regular preventive maintenance and assisting breakdown maintenance
- Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all type of Automation equipment.
- Should prepare why-why analysis & drive for permanent corrective actions.
- Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment.
- Coordinates project activities with other functional groups such as engineering, operations, and quality to ensure the efficient execution of continuous improvements
- Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products.
- Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk ME or SE, Siemens PLC programming experience.
- FDA regulated manufacturing experience (Preferred).
- OT Network experience
- Must have electrical troubleshooting and design
- Strong communication skills required.
