Job SummaryThe Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activity pertaining to the plant, safeguarding company assets by assuring internal controls are operational and also be business partner and financial advisor for Plant Manager and all staff.
What a typical day looks like:
- You will be responsible for all financial statements and reports;
- Lead in the development and communication of 3YP & 5YP ;
- Perform audits of payables, receivables, and bank accounts ;
- Maintain banking and financing relationships;
- Ensure provision of insurance coverage ;
- Responsible for inventory policies concerning levels and control ;
- Provide leadership, management, coaching and development to staff ;
- Direct actual month-end activities, rolling forecast with comments, capital analysis, audits (tax, internal, external) as required, grant submission and documentation, management and development of Cost Accountant and VAT returns ;
- Manage Intrastat completion, A/R and invoicing accuracy, A/P processing, payroll processing, purchasing, costing of product, costing analysis as requested and inventory management.
The experience we are looking to add to our team:
- BSc in Accounting or Finance; MSc preferred ;
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP);
- Minimum 10 years combined Accounting experience ;
- Demonstrated skill in problem solving and analysis ;
- Strategic Thinker ;
- Customer-focused, proactive problem solver ;
- Team player and leader, partner to internal and external organisation.
