Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Location Safety Manager II to lead the safety program at our Greenwich, CT location. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory compliance, advancing our safety initiatives, and promoting a culture of safety across our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all local safety and compliance activities in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Manage driver hiring and onboarding compliance (drug testing, MVR checks, DOT physicals, etc.).

  • Oversee training program delivery and ensure trainers are aligned with company standards.

  • Investigate safety events and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why's).

  • Monitor telematics data and performance dashboards to guide coaching and improvement.

  • Coordinate and lead safety meetings, audits, and employee safety programs.

  • Maintain and audit safety documentation using internal systems (e.g., DMO).

  • Collaborate with operations to identify and address potential safety hazards.

  • Support cost-effective safety planning and help manage training-related budgets.

  • Drive continuous improvement and safety engagement through BeSafe leadership activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant safety experience OR a college degree combined with related experience.

  • OSHA 10-Hour training and additional safety certifications preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other applicable safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and execute strategic safety plans.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
