The internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical accounting skills, and experience how the general ledger serves as the backbone of an organization's financial reporting. You will gain hands-on experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools, providing you with practical skills that will be valuable in any future accounting or finance role.
This is a hybrid role, which requires the selected candidate to reside within the Cincinnati Tri-State area.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities
- Book routine monthly journal entries
- Reconcile a variety of cash and prepaid accounts
- Assist with the annual audit
- Participate in ad hoc projects
Minimum Education or Certifications Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university (Accounting, Finance & Finance Management or Business Management)
Minimum Experience or Skills Required
- Basic computer skills (certain departments may desire more specific experience).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Excel
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
