SUMMARY:

JWF Specialty is seeking a Business Process Manager for its JWF Specialty team in their Indianapolis, IN office. The position is responsible for establishing an annual business plan for the team and monitoring the delivery of the plan during the year. The role reports to VP, of TPA Operations within the team. The position involves working with all JWF Specialty teams to invoice, monitor account funding, record revenue, tracking commissions, budgeting, preparation of financial documents, and establish efficiencies for internal process improvements. The role works collaboratively with EPIC Corporate Finance Team and IMPACT Team. This role will manage a team of people who perform various tasks as part of the TPA Operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Oversee monthly maintenance of revenue spreadsheet which tracks actual, budget, and prior year revenue.
  • Coordinate and participate in monthly financial meetings with corporate finance and JWF Specialty executives.
  • Oversee producer commissions and recognize and correct data entry errors as needed.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget for the JWF.
  • Participate in the establishment of a Client Management System.
  • Oversee the processing of 1099's, which includes submitting copy B to recipients, submitting copy A and form 1096 to the IRS on an annual basis.
  • Oversee Client invoicing.
    • Run reports in claims system (Claims Enterprise, i.e., IVOS)
    • Verify accuracy.
    • Manage Client Renewal Analysis & Calendar
    • Manage client audits.
    • A/R – Aging process protocols
  • Oversee & conduct weekly, monthly, and annual journal entries.
  • Manage reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Review and pay insurance carriers and outside brokers.
  • Supervise a team of 3 to 4 team members.
  • Establish and manage electronic vendor payment system.
  • Miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of Insurance industry.
  • Good communication skills to interface with Insurance carriers, clients, insurance broker teams, firm leadership, and vendors.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to train staff in various tasks.
  • Ability to monitor an annual budget for the JWF Specialty Team and interface with JWF Executives and EPIC corporate finance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy as a must in the position.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required, or its equivalent.
  • Must have 4+ years of experience in financial accounting at a manager level.
  • Experience in the Insurance Industry is highly desirable.
  • Sagitta and ImageRight experience or AMS equivalent.
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
  • Must be able to work in a demanding environment with demonstrated ability to work on multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Must have a high level of people skills to manage sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires teamwork, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
