Position Overview:
This Accounting Analyst – Trust Accounting position requires strong analytical, written and verbal skills which will give you the tools necessary to successfully complete your tasks and lend support to your colleagues.
Your pro-active nature, attention to detail, quality and proven organizational skills will provide the basis needed to initiate and work multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are committed to accuracy, excellent customer service, professionalism and going the extra mile.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage AR/AP for trust account
- Print daily bank report
- Apply deposits for accounts in agency management system (Sagitta, IMS)
- Track / follow up on payment application issues i.e. short/over payments
- Process payments to insurance carriers out of agency management system
- Generate and send remittance emails to carriers
- Generate weekly invoice listing reports for collection templates
- Generate monthly invoice listing reports and sending them to brokerage team
- Offset / correction cleanup – weekly
- Manage accounting mailbox
- Keep track of notices of cancellations received and sent to appropriate party
- Generate weekly deposit tickets of all payments applied
- Bank Reconciliations
- Act as a backup for other Trust Accounting team members as needed.
- File documents into our electronic filing system timely and accurately.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Use good judgment and show initiative in approach to daily activities and deadlines
- Detail oriented and accuracy a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid problem-solving skills which include thinking outside the box
- Able to work independently but also possess exceptional teamwork skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work efficiently
Education and/or EXPERIENCE:
- College degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1 plus years of experience, College Graduates are welcome to apply if have an Accounting Degree.
- Intermediate Excel Skills: Pivot Tables and Vlookups are helpful experience for this role.
COMPENSATION:
The national average salary for this role is $100 000.00 - $115 000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
