The Commercial Representative's primary function is to manage and oversee gas gathering and processing assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in all aspects to effectively manage the business including: operations, commercial, financial, contractual, regulatory, budget and new business development.
  • Reading, interpreting, negotiating, and understanding contracts related to the business.
  • Negotiations with producer on contracts, issues and dispute resolution.
  • Troubleshooting and coordinating pre-emptive action to minimize disruption and defend company interests.
  • Prepare and assist with presentations to customers and management.
  • Monitoring and alerting management on a timely basis regarding daily production and operating issues affecting the performance of the assets.
  • Reviewing and reporting on monthly financial performance of assets including detailed explanations for assets financial performance.
  • Regularly communicating with producers and management regarding issues, updates and approvals.
  • Reviewing monthly accounting settlements, researching and resolving related issues.
  • Interacting with internal groups (such as A/R, A/P, engineering, operations and legal departments) and external parties (producers, operators, contractors) on contract and asset issues.
  • Responding to requests for information or resolution of issues with producers and management.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant technical or business discipline or equivalent years of work experience is required.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in the crude oil industry performing commercial activities is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience in a commercial role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of gas gathering, processing and NGLs is preferred.
  • Adept in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Requires ability to multitask and have a common sense approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to interact with customers is required.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, negotiating, and understanding contracts are required.
