Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The Operator, Heavy Equipment position reports to the Supervisor, Shipyard. The Operator, Heavy Equipment position is responsible for the operational function of the heavy equipment throughout the maintenance and repair facility and surrounding facility buildings.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work within the guidelines and parameters as established by Company Safety Manual, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate the 110-ton Hydraulic Crawling Crane.
- Operate the Cherry Picker, Bulldozer, Front Loader, Skid Loader, Forklift and other miscellaneous moving equipment as necessary per job repair specifications or general facility maintenance activities.
- Provide field support to maintenance and repair functions as directed by supervisor.
- Monitor, prioritize and complete equipment maintenance schedule on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspection basis. Document findings and report those to upper management.
- Work with shipyard and cleaning facility employees on lifts ensuring proper lifting procedures are followed.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) is required.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
- OSHA certification in crane operations is required.
- Working knowledge of crane operations and the safety protocols involved with crane operations is required.
- Working knowledge of inspection intervals for crane and heavy equipment operators.
- Previous experience as a heavy equipment operator is required.
- Previous experience as a general laborer in oil and gas industry is preferred.
- Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety is required.
- Able to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions is required.
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn is required.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detected is required.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors under various normal and adverse weather conditions is required.
- Ability to use physical force to lift, push, pull and carry frequently over 35lbs. is required.
- Ability to walk, climb, reach over shoulder, hand/eye coordination, twisting, work around unprotected heights, work around moving machinery, repetitive actions with both hands a feet is required.
- Ability to read and write is required.
- Must satisfactorily pass background, physical exam, and drug screens.
