Description

The Corporate Tax Department at Enterprise Holdings has an opening for a Senior Tax Accountant on the Compliance & Accounting team.The Senior Tax Accountant (Compliance & Accounting) will serve as a shared resource and will handle the more complex issues across the areas of tax, provision, and tax compliance. This position will learn and use more advanced principles to primarily support the tax provision area, while secondarily providing support for tax compliance.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO.

Responsibilities:

ASC 740

  • Prepare tax provisions (both under ASC 740 and foreign statutory principles) and supporting workpapers, using tax provision software
  • Prepare quarterly tax rate projections
  • Prepare and analyze tax account reconciliations
  • Analyze federal, state, and foreign temporary and permanent differences
  • Query and analyze data using Excel
  • Prepare basic tax research and intermediate analysis projects supporting the tax compliance process

Compliance

  • Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns
  • Participate in the income tax auditing process and other related projects
  • Perform research on new and emerging tax issues
  • Participate in foreign tax returns and the related compliance, including correspondence and coordination with external service providers
  • Analyze the tax compliance process and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare a variety of tax related documents, to include schedule M-1 adjustments, state apportionment, estimated payments, extension calculations, depreciation calculations, and book to tax adjustments
  • Analyze and respond to income tax notices
  • Prepare amended income tax returns

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting; OR
    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting
    • Masters Degree in Accounting, Tax or Accounting Systems
    • Juris Doctorate with a concentrationin Tax or LLM
  • CPA preferred
  • Two (2) or more years public accounting or corporate income tax experience required
  • Experience with OneSource and/or other tax software and systems required
  • Basic knowledge of corporate income tax and/or accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel or equivalent applications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
