Description

ENSCO's Mission Systems Group (MSG) Division is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support transitioning and maintaining existing operational software to High-Performance Computing (HPC) on Amazon's Web Service (AWS).  The responsibilities of this role will be to be a key contributor to the successful delivery, ongoing evolution, and in-depth understanding of customer's requirements for the prototype AWS HPC cloud computing strategy's multi-year approach.

Qualifications

•    Master's or Doctorate degree in an engineering, scientific or a technical discipline.
•    Experience and knowledge of Amazon Web Services' High-Performance Computing (HPC) products.
•    Knowledge of cloud technologies – including but not limited to S3, IAM, EC2, ECS, RDS, Glacier, EKS, EBS, EFA, ParallelCluster, Batch, and FSx.
•    Knowledge of AWS specific HPC tech stations, networks, security, distributed storage, user management, and cloud products.
•    CompTIA Sec+ (high level security competence).

Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline, with 3 years relevant experience 
•    Expert at Python or other modern scripting language (e.g., Java, C, and C++).
•    Expert administering and working with multiple types of Linux systems of various flavors (Red Hat preferred)
•    Experience developing containerized workflows using docker solutions, with Kubernetes experience preferred.
•    An understanding of the agile approaches to advance a road map for transitioning capabilities to the cloud environment.
•    Provide input for the best solution for workflows and object storage. 
•    Ability to translate requirements into software solutions that supports the contract requirements.
•    Oversee monitoring and reporting of AWS HPC resources 
•    Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting & user support to help resolve cloud-based computational and storage technical issues.
•    Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
•    AN ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
