Description

ENSCO is seeking an experienced Industrial Plumber at the Transportation Technology Center to service and maintain building systems, pumps, and water delivery systems throughout the facility.

Responsibilities shall include the following:
Carry out regular maintenance and installation of new plumbing systems throughout commercial and industrial buildings including water delivery and wastewater treatment systems.

Perform installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.

Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and industrial buildings.

Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.

Inspect, service and maintain well and water treatment systems.

Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintains.

Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.

Manage a work log.

Create and update work tickets in a computerized maintenance management system.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid plumber's license
  • Level 2 Intermediate Plumbing Diploma
  • Operators in Responsible Charge (ORC) certification

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship
  • 3 to 5 years of trade experience as a plumber or plumber's apprentice
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial plumbing systems including boilers, chillers, and closed loop systems
  • Understanding of current field regulations
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to see color to discern color-coded wiring
  • Ability to safely climb a 15-foot-high ladder
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and accurately enter and update work tickets in a computerized maintenance management system
  • Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license to allow driving throughout the site
  • Ability to drive company vehicles around site and into city for work
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations
  • Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to react well under pressure in high-stressed situations and accept responsibility for own actions

Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest, and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
