The IT Security Engineer is responsible for the protection of computer assets and information by establishing and enforcing system access controls. The IT Security Engineer also supports Epic and applicable Security Applications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems through various existing Cybersecurity tools.
- Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations and report to it Sr Cybersecurity engineer or Director Cybersecurity and work on remediation as per guidance provided.
- Propose & Implements security improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
- Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
- Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status, work with end users to address any cybersecurity incident.
- Responds to all system and/or network security breaches.
- Strong understanding on digital forensic methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing environments, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, and cryptography.
- Technical expertise in system security, malware operation and indicators, network and web-related protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, IPSEC, HTTP, TLS, DNS etc.).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Pursue expansion of knowledge of and skills in current and emerging information technology.
- Attend product and technology training as required.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotations including some weekends and holidays.
- Support end users as required.
- Education, Skill & Abilities Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4-5years of past experience in information security, especially in an analyst role on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Experience with any of the following systems/products also a plus: basic scripting for automation, EDR/MDR solution, data loss prevention, malware detection, intrusion detection/prevention, penetration testing/vulnerability scanning and remediation drive, web application firewall.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills required.
