Currently, Englewood Health is seekign an Advance Practice Nurse our inpatient Psychiatric Unit . The APN will be an expert clinician and patient advocate in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing practice. The Advance Practice Nurse can be a credentialed Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner. The Advance Practice Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems according to established joint nursing/medical protocols. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.
Department: Behavioral Health
1-2 years of experience as a Behavioral Health provider required, inpatient experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail required
Nurse Practitioner (APRN): Master's Degree required
Nurse Practitioner (APRN):
- Current NJ State Advanced Practice Nurse License
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Current CDS license
- Current DEA license
- Certified in Specialty required
