**Day Shift, Night Shift, On-Call, Part-Time, and Full-Time positions Available**
Hourly Rate: $17.20 to $18.00
Service Contract Act (SCA) Position
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Security Guard is responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department.
- Enforces all authorized laws, rules, and regulations.
- Security Guard performs alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
- Provide vehicle transportation support function under direction of supervisor in compliance with government, corporate and management directives.
- Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff.
- Performs building security and safety checks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prefer 1 year of experience in a security department, law enforcement agency, or experience with security duties.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
- Prefer Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
- Prefer knowledge of riot and crowd control techniques and law enforcement procedures.
- Must maintain CPR/FA Certification. Ability to obtain a bus driver's license.
