Kittrell Job Corps Center

This is a subcontracting opportunity with Covenant Learning Solutions, Operator of the Kittrell Job Corps and NOT with the United States Government.

Covenant Learning Solutions, contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor to operate the Kittrell Job Corps Center, a student residential training facility located at 1096 US-1, Kittrell, NC 27544, is currently soliciting written bids for a Center Physician Assistant.

 

All bids should be submitted in writing by Friday, July 12, 2024, by 5:00PM. Quotes received after the deadline and/or without all requested documentation applying to your company will not be considered.

Vendor is to return completed bid sheet, scope of work, new vendor packet, and all credentials listed herein.

Total hours to be worked are not to exceed 7.2 hours per week. The period of performance is August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2026 or whatever the remaining balance of the contract year shall be. This also includes any continuation of services as approved with the inclusion of Option Years 1, 2, and 3 beginning August 1, 2027 through July 31, 2029.

Covenant Learning Solutions reserves the right to reject any bids and select the most responsible bid. Bidders should be aware of bid requirements for federally funded projects and act accordingly.

Bidders are placed on notice that this is a competitive bid process and cost is an important fact.

Overall, a low bid does not constitute a bid award. 

Payment terms are NET 30 days from the date of invoice.

Required credentials documents to submit with bid sheet and scope of work are:

  1. Active, unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina, primary care physician preferred—family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine, Board certification preferred
  2. Current DEA registration
  3. Resume evidencing experience treating young adults and adolescents
  4. Current CPR certification
  5. Consent to a background check to be coordinated through Human Resources after the interview.
  6. Completed new vendor packet (enclosed)

The vendor shall obtain and maintain insurance(s) as follows:

  1. Comprehensive General Liability with Kittrell Job Corps Center listed as additional insured. ($1,000,000 per occurrence).
  2. Automobile Liability Insurance Policies shall provide coverage of at least

$200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage. The amount of liability coverage on other policies shall be commensurate with any legal requirements of the locality and sufficient to meet normal and customary claims.
