Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as HR representative in internal and external audits.
  • Create and maintain all personnel files to ensure compliance with federal, state, licensing and contractual requirements.
  • Request and obtain criminal record checks, references and any other pre-hire documentation needed from all applicants.
  • Provide assistance to programs relating to new hires, including completing new hire paperwork.
  • Complete departmental filing to ensure files are up-to-date.
  • Act as liaison with external compliance vendors to ensure timeliness of requests, accuracy of information and resolve issues when they arise.
  • Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, providing expertise on those policies and procedures that address HR compliance issues.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, from an accredited College or University, in business, human resources, or other related field preferred.  High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience required.  
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office.  Ability to hand confidential information with appropriate discretion.  Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.  Excellent listening skills.  Effective oral and written communications skills.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Ability to work as an effective member of a team.  Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
