Testing Required: Not Applicable

Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary
  • Provides the formal leadership role for the implementation of Operating System projects. Responsible to impart the principles of the DTE Operating System to all project participants and ensure that the principles are being practiced after the project, or intervention has concluded. Manages projects that have been agreed upon by the Business Unit executive, and the Operating System Strategy Group's OSSG management team. Mentors the project support personnel in the understanding of the principles, methods, tools and concepts of the DTE Operating System. Ensures sustainable, measurable business results have been achieved on key projects.
Key Accountabilities
  • Implements CI through significant business unit projects as agreed to by the business unit executive and the CI manager
  • Designs plan to implement CI practices based on the understanding and experience of business unit operations
  • Completes key projects successfully through sustainable, measurable business results
  • Meets targeted project objectives as agreed to by the business unit executive and the CI manager
  • Builds strong partnerships with both external and internal organizations.
  • Leads DTE Operating System assessments to identify the gap between current reality and the ideal state.
  • Coaches and leads project support personnel and business unit clients to understand the principles, methods, and CI tools.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience in change initiatives
Other Qualifications
  • Knowledge of DTE's ADMS Outage Management System and business processes
  • Databricks SQL coding experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate
  • Knowledge of FEMA Incident Command Structure and processes
  • Demonstrated application of CI concepts through specific, significant business improvement
  • Experience in designing and implementing systems approach change efforts such as Lean Operating Systems, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management
  • Demonstrated use of project management including design, implementation, countermeasures, evaluation and results
  • Ability to use of a coaching or mentoring model with experience in assessment methodologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of organization and business knowledge that includes structure, and enterprise and business unit strategy
  • Demonstrated examples of written and oral communication skills such as oral presentations, detailed status reports and training delivery
