Work Where You Matter: The Transportation Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering seamless communication between Supply Chain and Store Operations. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to streamline interdepartmental collaboration, proactively resolve logistical challenges, develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), and drive critical initiatives forward. The focus is optimizing the Outbound Supply Chain processes in support of stores—from order generation, through timely and accurate delivery, to the efficient return of delivery assets from stores to Distribution Centers. Company Overview:

§  Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o   Lead cross-functional forums between Store Operations and Supply Chain teams to proactively address challenges, improve communication, and drive operational efficiencies.

o   Serve as the primary liaison to ensure alignment of goals and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

o   Provide timely and relevant Supply Chain updates to key stakeholders to support informed decision-making and transparency.

§  Operational Execution & Documentation:

o   Identify service-related issues impacting stores and recommend practical, data-driven solutions to enhance performance.

o   Develop, maintain, and publish process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines to support stores deliveries from and returns to Distribution Centers

o   Ensure all process documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.

§  Support Key Business Initiatives:

o   Coordinate efficient delivery and pickup execution for new store openings, remodels, relocations, and inventory events.

o   Drive execution and accuracy of delivery ETAs sent to the store HHTs.

o   Identify and test opportunities to drive efficiencies throughout the delivery and asset pickup processes.

§  Store Communication:

o   Lead the planning and communication of order processing and delivery schedules, including short-term changes, disruptions, holiday deliveries, and long-term strategic initiatives.

o   Work closely with the Transportation Operations Center (TOC), Private Fleet, and 3PL partners to ensure communication with Store Operations is timely, accurate, and effective.

§ Familiarity with key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting tools.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with experience in retail or distribution environments preferred.
