Job Details:GENERAL SUMMARY:
Senior Analyst is responsible for transportation reporting to include financial reporting, cost analysis, and special projects and initiatives facilitation.
DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Transportation Cost Reporting (40%)
- Predict, evaluate, quantify, and present financial impacts of potential operational changes.
- Cohesively working with cross functional team to define meaningful financial KPIs and design financial dashboard for cost reduction
Transportation Financial Reporting (50%)
- Responsible for designing, developing, and distributing congruent financial reports (linking accruals, monthly forecast, and budget into one source location that can feed into the accruals, the budget, the standard, the heavy weight calculator, the FOB Point listing).
- Maintaining and modifying existing reports such as monthly accrual, monthly forecast, expense report and bridging.
- Develop and document procedures to minimize or mitigate financial risks
- Responsible for cross training to help team developing financial knowledge and decision-making skills
Special Projects and Initiatives Support (10%)
- Assist the special projects team in initiatives facilitation through analytical support.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Strong excel skills
- Working knowledge of Power BI and Alteryx experience is a plus
- Strong ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners
- Some knowledge of merchandising, distribution, transportation, and supply chain concepts
- Strong business acumen around the cost components of international flow of merchandise including accessorial quantification, validation, and reporting.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to be a team player and customer service driven
WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Data Science preferred with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
