As the Manager of Site Merchandising, you will be responsible for everything that is published on DG.com and the DG App, including rich product content for digital and in-store commerce, engaging content that highlights product collections for seasonal selling moments and deals. You will be responsible for merchandising content that creates the best shopping experience on DG digital properties and DG partner properties, including DoorDash. Your work will produce extremely shoppable experiences that measurably increases engagement, grows sales, and maximizes margin for Same Day Delivery, store trip planning and ship to home experiences across all DG digital commerce channels. This is a critical role in a lean & growing business unit. We are looking for a candidate that can analyze business performance, identify opportunities, and pursue priorities to deliver outsized business results.
Job Details:- Identify opportunities to improve key site metrics – conversion rate, sales per visit, abandon cart rate, etc.
- Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure the site represents the seasonal product strategies
- Identify and implement site merchandising tools to deliver a relevant and personalized experience for multi-platform guest experience (desktop, mobile, native app, doordash)
- Partner with technical and product teams to develop and deploy ecommerce features, functionality & tools that improve site merchandising to drive sales and store visits.
- Collaborate with merchants to optimize product assortment and site presentation strategy across categories to ensure categorization, sequencing and cross-selling are optimal and customer facing
- Report on monthly performance and provide recommendations on improving overall site experience
- Collaborate with marketing and content manager on key product page presentations (including copy, images, videos, etc.)
- Other projects that may arise that drive overall company objectives
- Strong knowledge of ecommerce merchandising, with 4-5 years' experience
- Experience in analyzing and reporting in ecommerce merchandising performance to maximize sales growth
- Experience in Adobe Experience Manager or comparable CMS tools a plus.
- Experience testing merchandising strategies to ensure optimal shopping experience for different audiences
- An entrepreneurial mentality, willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is needed to meet goals.
- Ability to prioritize and execute projects end-to-end
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a team and communicate priorities clearly
- High degree of proficiency in MS office suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc…).
- Bachelor degree in marketing, business administration, retail management, e-commerce or equivalent experience in site merchandising, e-commerce, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, merchandising, or planning with at least 2 years in digital applications
