General Summary:
Construction Coordinator - Remodels are responsible for the execution of the remodel program. They provide support to the Construction Project Supervisor and ensure that all directives given from the Construction Project Supervisor are implemented and carried out within the Remodel Program. Construction Coordinator - Remodels are also responsible for database management, reporting, and tool development as required by the Construction Project Supervisor.
Job Details:Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tracking, scheduling, and executing the Remodel program; serve as primary contact for contractors regarding remodel execution and project specific questions; actively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution follows process; and report program status to Construction Project Supervisor.
- Serve as first point of contact for issue resolution; ensure program process changes are implemented throughout the coordinator team; report on team productivity and project results.
- Actively track and maintain Remodel Cost Tracking Database and report on a weekly basis program status, project results, and year-to-date status.
- Provide assistance to Construction Project Supervisor to develop tools for the remodel program; actively maintain tools within SLM so that data is accurate and current; review remodel spreadsheets, databases, and process documents quarterly with the Remodel team and incorporate any necessary changes as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Highly dependable proactive self-starter with ability to function well in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency and minimal supervision.
- Proficient in organization and time management with ability to manage multiple priorities and provide timely and accurate project status reporting.
- Versatile and capable of working proactively, collaboratively, and independently while assuming responsibility for multiple simultaneous activities.
- Experience in an Accruent-based software, preferably SLM (Store Lifecycle Management).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software and experience in database application.
- Thorough working knowledge of construction processes and terms.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaboration, and communications skills across departments.
- Ability to anticipate issues and ask the right questions to surface and resolve issues.
- Persistent and strong follow up tools/mechanisms to see things through to closure.
- Ability to understand, apply, and adhere to construction process/procedures and company policies.
Work Experience &/or Education:
- Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience as a Construction Coordinator a/o Administrative Assistant with emphasis in high project volume commercial retail construction or high volume retail process improvement is required.
