Duties

The Chief of Imaging Service, a radiologist, is responsible for providing leadership in Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine, oversight in all diagnostic imaging functions within the VA Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHCS), and ensuring quality and cost-effective care. In this role, the incumbent is accountable for managing all Imaging programs and services performed within the ECHCS, both inhouse and through community partners.

The Chief of Imaging Service ensures the timely delivery of quality assessment, diagnosis, and management of inpatient, residential, and outpatient care in accordance with VHA and Health Care System standards. Approximately 40% of the incumbent's duties are administrative, while 60% are clinical.

The ECHCS Imaging Service consists of approximately 96 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) staff, including Physicians, Registered Nurses, Technologists, and Administrative Support staff. Programs under the direct authority of the Chief of Imaging Service include Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Safety, and Radiology.

Compensation Information:
$350000.0 / Annually - $350000.0 / Annually
