Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is a teaching hospital that provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research. The medical center is on a 119-acre campus that features 350 acute care beds. MEDVAMC serves as the hub for 12 community-based outpatient clinics in southeast Texas.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Estimated salary: $250,000 - $348,000 commensurate with experience
The position will include clinical duties at the VA medical center and an academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine which will include opportunities for faculty development, education, and clinical research.
Preferred candidate:
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible: Internal Medicine, Hematology, Oncology
  • Experience: Hematology/Oncology; previous private practice or faculty experience not required.
  • Preferred: Focus on Hematology clinical care (Benign and Malignant) and clinical research.
  • Graduated with an MD or DO degree from an approved medical school in the United States/Canada OR have a standard certificate of the ECFMG.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology with board eligibility/certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Current BLS certification

Up To: 348000.0 Annually
