The Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Health Care System (RHJ VA HCS) is looking for a special candidate to join our Charleston, SC team as a Designated Education Officer. A qualified candidate will have a M.D., Ph.D. or an Ed.D., along with a proven record of curriculum development and experience educating, training, developing, and implementing successful Health Education Programs. Individuals who possess Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) credentials is preferred. This visionary will be the point of contact for necessary and continued education of health care professionals and uphold the highest quality standards in health education.
Duties this position will include:
Direct all components of the Ralph H. Johnson VA HCS Health Education and Training Programs for internal Health Care Professionals
Provide knowledge and guidance in areas relating to health education/training program planning, program evaluation/assessments, marketing/communications, advocacy, policy development, and organizational curriculum development
Serve as the primary contact for Leadership and Staff on issues concerning health education, continued education compliance, and service line specific training and development curriculum
Qualifications/Experience:
Proven record of Health Education curriculum development, implementation, and measures of success
Experience with program development, health education training delivery, training documentation, evaluation, and program oversight.
Salary: Dependent on qualifications, license and experience $225,000-$290,000
