Leveraging Qumu's cloud-based platform and Pathfinder Edge solution, the Streaming Engineer partners with key internal and external stakeholders to implement and support holistic, congruent, and secure live streaming and video on demand solutions that provide a superior customer experience for all lines of business across the Enterprise. The Streaming Engineer contributes to project and enhancement work to continuously improve the adoption and security of the Streaming platform, as well as the overall health, extensibility, and performance of the Streaming solution, inclusive of user and support documentation. Responsibilities: • Work with business partners, application leads, project management resources and other stakeholders to develop Streaming (live and on-demand recordings) architecture and design deliverables • Assess architecture options to provide recommendations that are in-line with the strategic vision of Enterprise-wide best practices • Research and replication of issues, perform analysis of the root cause of problems and provide technical assistance to Support staff • Design, develop, document, test, calibrate, configure, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance for Streaming platform • Ensure that information and technical assistance is provided to customers in accordance with established policies & procedures • Work closely with other teams through product lifecycle including Streaming Operations, Network Engineering, vendor management, and service provider(s) • Provide Engineering support for Streaming issues *Required Qualifications* • 2+ years' experience with, and demonstrated knowledge of, Streaming application software/products including cloud-based offerings • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills * Networking & Server administration skills * 1+ years' experience with Linux • 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role · Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and be proactive • Ability and willingness to work and communicate within a close-knit team • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate without guidance in both business and technical environments * Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks * Ability and willingness to be constantly learning, exploring new technologies and skills, and sharing findings with colleagues * Project management skills                 Project scoping                 Statements of Work (SOWS) Proof of Concept Development and implementation *Preferred Qualifications* • 2+ years' experience with the Qumu streaming platform or alternate platforms such as Kaltura, Brightcove, MS Stream • Strong networking skills, familiarity with IP addressing and subnetting, expertise in networking commands and tools to analyze network traffic and create traces, such as Wireshark * Familiarity in using Remote Desktop Tools (RDP) and terminal emulators such as Putty • In depth knowledge of video streaming standards such as RTMP, HLS, MP4, WebRTC, encoding/transcoding codecs                • Strong understanding of mobile technologies (mobile phones, tablets) • Basic Understanding of video content management • Familiarity with virtualization technology (VMWare, etc.) • Support experience, particularly desktop and/or browser support • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as business needs change • Organized and detail-oriented approach to planning, execution, and troubleshooting/supporting of production streaming infrastructure * Working knowledge of API Scripting and API based services *Education* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other technical field OR equivalent work experience. *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $97,335.00 - $201,900.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
