We are looking for passionate, driven people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in customers' lives and who want to be on the ground floor of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a pharmacy and a health care company can be.     The Staff Engineer - Web Development will be responsible for designs, developments and implementations of digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects. What You Will Do * Design and define the technical architecture and infrastructure required for digital solutions * Write code, develop software components and implement complex functionalities according to project requirements * Collaborate with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions * Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance and ensure code efficiency * Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution * Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability and high quality of digital solutions * Participate in Agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning and helps drive the progress and success of digital projects * Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team * Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation and other relevant documentation while sharing knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration Key Responsibilities: * Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the digital engineering team, driving technical excellence, establishing best practices, and ensuring the use of industry-standard methodologies and technologies. * Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the digital health space. * Software Development: Utilize advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code quality. * Problem Solving: Identify and solve complex technical problems that arise during the development process. * Technical Insights and Recommendations: Deliver technical insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. * Technology Selection and Integration: Provide recommendations on technology selection and integration, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and maintainability. * Troubleshooting and Guidance: Apply deep technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance to the development team, and drive the resolution of technical challenges. * Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) designers, and software developers, to define technical requirements and create robust and scalable architectures that meet business objectives. * Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping them enhance their technical skills and grow professionally through knowledge-sharing activities, technical training, and fostering a culture of learning within the team. *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS* * 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development. With 2+ years of experience in a technical lead role. * 7+ years of experience with developing applications/web services and cloud-native apps using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, REST API, JPA, and other tech stacks (open-source and proprietary). * 5+ years of experience with agile development. * 5+ years of designing and developing highly scalable Microservices, Webservices, and Rest API's * 5+ years of designing and developing in a Test-Driven Development environment. * 3+ years of experience with build and deploying services in CI/CD with using tools like GitHub, CircleCI, Harness, Jenkins, GitLab. * 3+ years of experience working with KAFKA DB, NoSQL DB & Cache Datastore DB * 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). * 3+ years of experience working in cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS, etc. *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* * Extensive knowledge in developing and understanding Single-Page Application (SPA) * Experience with cross-browser testing and cross-platform compatibility * Familiarity with back-end code page applications * Comprehension of business requirements and scope with ability to effectively translate them into engineering components * Experience with build tools (webpack, yarn/npn1, node) * CSS Preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and CSS organization methodologies (BEM, OOCSS, SMACSS) * Knowledge of Java and integration with APIs/services * Strong knowledge of computer accessibility design rules and ADA compliance: a11y, WCAG 2.1 A and AA, unit testing with keyboard and using a screen reader extension * Familiarity with server-side UI - NodeJS * Sharp eye for design and UX * Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Experience with modem front-end technologies (React/Angular/Vue, ES6/Typescript, Redux or similar state management libraries) * Experience with React Native   * Experience with A/B testing and tools like Adobe Target or Monetate * Excellent communication skills (written and interpersonal) * Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills * Firm grasp of fundamental web/internet technologies * Proactive problem-solver and team player * Experience working in fast paced Agile, SAFe Agile, Kanban, and continuous workflow environments * Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple requests * Work effectively within a cohesive team environment that emphasizes a culture of teaching and learning *EDUCATION* Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)   *BUSINESS OVERVIEW* Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
