We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable. *Position Summary* Provides technical leadership to a team of Data Engineers and Engineering Managers who design, build, and maintain data pipelines, infrastructure, and systems that enable efficient and effective data processing and analytics. *Responsibilities* * Designs and implements scalable and efficient data architectures and infrastructure policies and procedures. * Develops and maintains data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, protocols, and required objectives. * Controls data integration from various sources, data cleansing, transformation, and loading of data into data warehouses or data lakes. * Delivers accurate and timely data for business intelligence and analytics purposes. * Designs protocols for data engineering best practices, standards, and guidelines. * Researches and provides key recommendations for the adoption of emerging technologies that align with the organization's goals. * Fosters mutually-beneficial relationships with internal and external partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure successful data engineering initiatives. * Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes and provides functional (matrix) supervision. * Administers technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. *Required Qualifications* * 10+ years experience * 5+ years people management experience *Preferred Qualifications* * Technically strong engineering leader who can challenge architecture and solution * Still able to read & write code in Python & SQL, even if not spending time on it day-to-day. * Experience with Google Cloud Platform * Experience with healthcare data * Experience managing managers and principal-level engineers. * Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills * Adept at collaboration and teamwork * Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills * Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills * If working remotely, able to travel up to 20% of the time. *Education * Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience. *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
