Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator develops and implements in-house programming for individuals in mental health services. The Clinical Coordinator provides guidance and supervision to the employees in the development of overall service plans. The Clinical Coordinator works closely with the program director to ensure individuals receive quality programming and achieve their highest potential. The Clinical Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.

This position is part of our Adult Mental Health (MH) Services Transition to Community (TTC) Program and is hiring for work in Lancaster, PA.

This position offers $54,000/yr., based on experience and education and the following schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs./wk.) hours vary based on program needs. On-call rotation.

Job Description:

  • Provides team leadership and supervision to clinical personnel

  • Leads and facilitates the multidisciplinary treatment team process.

  • Provides and facilitates emergency and mental health assessment for individuals.

  • Monitors the clinical admission and discharge criteria.

  • Authorizes, supervises, and maintains intervention/care management services.

  • Assists the program director in clinical service delivery.

  • Functions as a qualified mental health professional.

  • Assesses appropriateness of service plans to the needs of the individuals in service.

  • Facilitates group process and activity within the program. 

  • Knowledge of health conditions and medications.

  • Knowledge of community resources and methods of accessing them.

  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and theories of social work.

  • Knowledge of counseling, individual assessment, and case management.

  • Ability and skills to complete psychosocial assessment.

  • Ability to use practical judgment.

  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions and implement a course of action.

  • Responsible for the supervision and employment decisions during the life cycle of their team members. 

Qualifications:

This position requires the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, clinical counseling or other human services or related field from an accredited college or university.

  • Strong clinical background and skills with experience and knowledge of chronic and persistent mental illness and understanding of Recovery and Resiliency principles.

  • At least 1 year of strong supervision/management experience.

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of mental health clinical experience preferred but not required.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred

  • Mental Health, Intellectual & Developmental Disability (IDD), Forensic and/or Drug & Alcohol (D&A) experience preferred but not required.

  • Able to work flexible hours.
     

Additional requirements include:  

  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings.
