Pharmacy Technician - Full Time  
Brentwood Hospital
Shreveport, LA

As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. 

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm, and weekends from 8am-2pm as needed.

Starting Pay: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience

About the Facility: Brentwood Hospital is a 200-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility that offers psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Serving Louisiana, east Texas and south Arkansas for more than 44 years, Brentwood Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified and approved by Tricare ®, Medicare and Medicaid. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  The Pharmacy utilizes centralized pharmacy utilizes HCS, ePharmacy, and Pyxis automatic dispensing systems. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and weekends from 8am-2pm. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred
  • Omnicell experience preferred
  • Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
