Our Broadband Support Associate is a proactive, thoughtful, and highly motivated problem solver who is committed to enhancing the member experience and building strong communities. You will serve as a trusted resource for our members.

As a member of our team, you will be the first point of contact assisting our members with broadband technical support, whether through phone calls or other communication avenues. Strong communication skills and a strong technical aptitude are required for this role. You'll be responsible for resolving service-related issues for both our high-speed broadband service and our home phone offering, including the following tasks:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve home phone connectivity, internet connectivity and Wi-Fi issues
  • Facilitate and coordinate home phone setup with customers
  • Effectively and efficiently resolve and close service tickets
  • Coordinate and support service calls with customers and service technicians
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate issues as needed and required
  • Participate and assist with equipment maintenance and upgrades
  • Support service technicians with new service installations
  • Effectively utilize multiple communication and software platforms

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience required or a technical degree with a telecommunications networking focus and one year of work experience. A mixture of undergraduate education and work experience or demonstrated proficiency is acceptable.
  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent preferred.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge regarding e-mail, broadband, and wireless connectivity required along with advanced knowledge of a variety of broadband platforms including fiber-to-the-premise.
  • Capable of making full use of available tools, equipment, and technologies.
  • Effective communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Accuracy, self-motivation, and emotional intelligence are required.
  • Aptitude to fulfill all the competencies for the position (Attention to Detail / Configuration Management / Communications Security Management / Computer Network Defense / Configuration Management / Information Systems - Network Security / Network Management / Problem Analysis & Planning / Service Delivery / Technical Competence, Credibility, Problem Solving, Awareness, & Management).
