Summary: The primary responsibility of the Assistant Clinical Director is to provide clinical services and supports that are individualized, youth-guided, trauma informed, aligned with permanency goals of youth, and strength based. In addition, the Assistant Clinical Director will provide supervision and support regarding the initial and ongoing clinical process for all clinicians, as directed by the Clinical Director. These services include, but are not limited to individual, family, and group counseling, case management, and case consultation/collaboration.



Supervision and Support:

Reports directly to the Clinical Director. Support and oversight of relevant operational functions of the role also fall under the purview of the Director of Operations.





Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Provide supervision to clinicians and case consultation to members of treatment teams, as needed

    • Support and review Clinical documentation, including but not limited to case-notes, ITPs, Monthly Reports, Psych-social assessments, etc.

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and associated documentation

    • Provide individual, group, family therapy, and case management services

    • Create Individualized Treatment Plans that are strength based, address the individual needs of youth, and are guided by best practice

    • Oversight and problem-solving around clinical service needs including case loads, assignments, and changes in personnel.

    • Will act as a liaison to various stakeholders as indicated by treatment and permanency plans

    • Participate in clinical on call rotation.

    • Collaborate with consulting psychiatrist, and other contracted professionals, as indicated

    • Maintain clinical license or status on state registry

    • Understand and adhere to the administrative structure, chain of command, and program philosophy of VPI

    • Support/promote a collaborative team to promote growth in clinical services.

    • Perform other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.
