Bariatric Surgery Physician in Glendale, AZ (Phoenix area)

Dignity Health St. Joseph's Westgate Medical Center, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bariatric Surgeon to join our team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of laparoscopic and open bariatric surgical procedures, including gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and duodenal switch. You will conduct thorough preoperative evaluations and consultations with patients, discussing potential risks and benefits. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive post-operative care, including monitoring progress, managing complications, and offering nutritional counseling. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential, ensuring patients receive holistic care. We encourage participation in continuing medical education, research, and teaching activities.

Requirements:

MD or DO Degree
American Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery
Excellent surgical skills and judgment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure before starting in the position
