Job Description

Responsibilities of a Part-Time Criminal Justice Instructor include but are not limited to:

•    Lecture for a variety of criminal justice courses. 
•    Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day or evening classes. 
        Courses may be delivered online and in person.
•    Develop lesson plans, syllabi, and course materials in conjunction with Department Chair. 
•    Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes. 
•    Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment 
        activities and program/curriculum development. 

Required Qualifications

•    An earned Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university.  A JD will be considered with appropriate experience in criminal justice.
•    At least 5 years of experience working directly for a criminal justice agency.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Experience teaching college criminal justice or related courses.
•    Experience with CANVAS or other online learning management systems.
•    Flexibility of schedule to teach live classes at any of the three main campuses during the morning, afternoon, or evening.

$925 per instructional unit (most courses are 3 IU's)
