Contribute towards the future of the City of Edmonton roadways! As a Roadway Condition Evaluator, you will apply your technical condition survey skills to collect data critical to the pavement management program. You will succeed in this role if you can effectively categorize types of distress, like working outside and can collaborate with others. Your success will be measured by your ability to achieve results in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.
What will you do?
- Conduct road, curb, and sidewalk condition surveys Identify pavement, curb, and sidewalk distresses, and determine the extent and severities of these distresses
- Measure defects and cracks using measuring wheels
- Record data on-site using Electronic Hand-Held Equipment or Tablets
- Examine data to ensure that no obvious errors exist
- Assist Engineering Technologists and senior technical assistants in the operation of other road structural tests with complex equipment as required
- Other related duties as required
