Does providing veterinary care of the diverse animal collection at the Edmonton Valley Zoo interest you?  In this unique part time Registered Veterinary Technologist  position that supports the well being for Zoo animals in the City of Edmonton's care, you will work under the direction of a Veterinarian to make a difference at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, which is home to over 250 animals.

• Assist the Veterinarian in medical and surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthesia
• Perform follow-up care of animals including treatments
• Train Animal Care staff in animal handling and administering treatments
• Dispense medications as prescribed
• Complete medical records and data entry in a timely manner
• Order and inventory veterinary medical supplies
• Be responsible for veterinary clinic and equipment maintenance
• Participate in the training of final-year veterinary and AHT students
• Work in a cooperative manner with staff from the Zoo's other business units
• Perform other duties as required
