Description

The Edmonton Police Service has an opportunity for a Recruiting Consultant able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of Recruit Selection Section team.  The Recruitment Consultant manages high volume, complex recruiting strategies within the Recruiting Unit to attract sworn members to the Edmonton Police Service. The consultant will build deep relationships internally and externally, tackle sourcing challenges with creativity, and impact section wide initiatives. Responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Develop and implement data driven recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range of qualified applicants.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to assess the effectiveness of current strategies and recommend enhancements.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to leverage, build, and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in law enforcement recruitment. Provide insights on best practices in recruitment analytics and innovative approaches to talent acquisition.
  • Market the Edmonton Police Service to candidates, developing a strong sense of what sells in this competitive market.
  • Ensure a consistent and transparent recruitment process is undertaken. Manage recruitment issues of more unique or complex nature.
  • Analyze recruitment data, including applicant demographics, sourcing channels, conversion rates, and time to fill metrics.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the recruitment process and propose solutions for streamlining workflows.
  • Conduct post-event reviews on recruitment campaigns to assess outcomes and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Attend recruitment events with sworn members.
  • Other related duties as required.
