Description

Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights and enhancing your data visualization skills in Tableau? If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Operations Analyst to join our team at Infrastructure Maintenance. This is your chance to make a significant impact by providing analytical support and business performance insights that drive operational excellence.

As the Operations Analyst, you will report to the Supervisor of Business Performance & Analytics within the Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) team. Your primary responsibility will be to gather, analyze, and report on section, unit, and program performance. Your work will help achieve targets set by IM leadership through process improvement initiatives and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts.

In this role, you will ensure data quality by systematically reviewing data for inconsistencies and discrepancies. You will translate this data into valuable information and create auditing and operational dashboards that facilitate decision-making. A thorough understanding of SAP plant maintenance data and frequent use of multiple transactions (work order creation and review, notification review, profit center plan vs. actual, etc.) are essential. You will also be actively involved in reviewing program financial results during monthly performance reviews.

 What will you do

  • Deliver timely and high-quality reports using extracts from SAP, Internal Data Portal, and other data sources.
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards from start to finish.
  • Interpret data, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives to improve data accuracy.
  • Engage with SMEs and internal stakeholders to gather relevant data.
  • Analyze available data to develop dashboards, data visualizations, graphical models, and reports to provide the pulse of operations.
  • Monitor operations service levels and delivery to produce weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the production of Branch and Corporate dashboards.
  • Support the unit monthly financial variance analysis to explain budget variances and monitor unit financials to ensure costs are correctly captured.
  • Ensure alignment between program cost centers and corresponding work breakdown structures.
  • Track alignment between operational measures and financial results; identify and analyze anomalies to determine root causes.
  • Assist with unit maintenance planning through data analysis and process development.
  • Create SAP orders to track expenditures in accordance with established procedures.
  • Recognize system data errors/issues and system limitations.
  • Ensure alignment of data management systems within Parks and Roads Services in partnership with Business Integration.
  • Continuously monitor and audit data quality, both operational and financial, and recommend/incorporate corrective measures/improvements.
  • Collaborate with branch partners to elevate business performance
  • Perform other related duties as required
